Attention Kmart Shoppers (2016)

Attention Kmart Shoppers was inspired by childhood memories of shopping at Kmart and the discovery of a treasure trove of in-store tapes (found here) from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. It explores the idea of rhythm and repetition in advertising through multiple iterations of branded materials. The materials are subsequently deconstructed and their branded content magnified into the realm of the hyperreal.
