icemelt (2014)

A study for dance, projection and audio. Audio and video are generated in real-time via Max/MSP, Ableton Live and Modul8. Processed field recordings of ice, snow and water form the sonic basis of the composition. Corresponding video footage, processed into a series of grids and dot matrices, filters the dancer’s movement through space and explores the dimensional relationship between the dancer, the stage and the background.
